About Us
Officially launched on July 29th 2007, Cancer Voices Queensland is the prominent consumer advocacy body representing the interests of all Queenslanders whose lives have been affected by cancer.
As an independent network of people, Cancer Voices Queensland aims to reduce the impact cancer may have on the lives of those diagnosed, family members, friends and carers by promoting a better quality of life through working effectively with State and Federal Governments, health professionals and the community.
By developing partnerships with cancer patients, survivors, family members and health professionals working in cancer care Cancer Voices Queensland present a forum to share issues, experiences and ideas common to all cancer types.
Our trained consumer representatives sit on many working parties, groups and committees for site-specific cancers such as breast, prostate, bowel and lung. In addition to this, Cancer Voices Queensland members participate in systematic reviews, research teams and cancer and consumer forums throughout Queensland and Australia.
